This Saturday, we will walk through The Fields to find Tarik Currimbhoy's Ellipse, 2007, a marble sculpture that lives next to the pond. From this picture-perfect spot we will read the book, "Ou Vont les Fleurs en Hiver?"
It's winter. Emma the beautiful Daisy sleeps in his little house in the snow when... driiing! the alarm rings with several months in advance. Unable to sleep, it must be repaired. His friends and Lebec La Fleche will help, after a nice walk around the frozen pond...
Author, Daniele Melani, aka Spider, was born in Florence and was educated in Rome. Well-known in the Italian world of graphics and illustration, he gradually developed a unique world, with images that reference underground comics, traditional graphic, design, and 1950s signage.
Back in the studio, we will work with fuzzy fabrics, colorful yarn, and recycled sweaters to make decorative dangly creations. Make a garland, a wooly wreath, or a 'stacked' ornament. Children will explore different textures and test their fine motor skills during this festive fiver art project!
