This Saturday, we will take a closer look at William Tucker's three sculptures, Eve, Hero at Evening, and A Homage to Rodin in the Wheat Field. Born in Cairo in 1935, he and his family moved to England two years later, where he lived until he moved to the United States in 1978. Tucker is an internationally renowned artist who is known for his contemporary bronze sculptures.

Back in the studio, children will work with natural, air-dry clay. We will learn how making a clay sculpture is often the first step in creating and casting a bronze piece. Using hand-building techniques, we will squish, squeeze, pinch, and pull the clay into human-like forms. Come get your hands messy while experimenting with this wonderful material!
