Dear Parents and Young Artists,
This Saturday we will learn about Landscape Photography, using The Fields Sculpture Park as our subject for exploring different ways to capture space in nature / nature in space. Bring your own digital camera if you like (one camera will also be available for children to share).
Back in the studio, children will look at their photographs and experiment with basic editing techniques. Each child will choose one final image which will be entered into theColumbia Land Conservancy "Photography in the Landscape" (18 & under category) juried competition and exhibition at Spencertown Academy Arts Center. Chosen photographs will be displayed on October 15th. We will also submit a single photo-grid of all the children's images into the competition. This is a great creative opportunity for our young artists and a wonderful community collaboration!
